Angie Kingma is a Registered Psychotherapist and a member in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Angie is also a Registered Occupational Therapist and a member in good standing with COTO and CAOT. Angie was very proud to work for 20 years at Credit Valley Hospital offering group psychotherapy (CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy).

Angie is also a Faculty Member at the University of Toronto, NeuroNova and The Centre for Mindfulness Studies in Toronto.

Angie has over 25 years of experience working in a variety of mental health settings including home care, in-patient psychiatry and out-patient psychiatry. While she utilizes a variety of psychotherapeutic approaches and techniques, she tends to lean towards CBT and mindfulness-based interventions, although the therapeutic rapport is the most important factor in the change process.

  • Completed the Certified Professional Training in Mindfulness-based Chronic Pain Management (MBCPM) through NeuroNova Centre for Chronic Pain Management.
  • Completed 5-day Mindfulness Teacher Training Intensive with Mark Coleman and Dr. Mary Elliott
  • Training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Therapy
  • Created "Mindfulness Mondays" for Trillium Health Partners Hospital Staff
