Sabiha Faruqui is an Occupational Therapist and Psychotherapist registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO). Sabiha received her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from McMaster University and has over 12 years of experience. Sabiha has worked at several hospitals in the Greater Toronto Area including Credit Valley Hospital (Trillium Health Partners), the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) as well as Humber River Hospital.
Sabiha utilizes strategies from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Based Approaches as well as Motivational Interviewing in her work with clients. Sabiha loves working with adults and also has a special interest and a great deal of experience working with transitional aged youth (ages 16-24).
Sabiha is passionate about working collaboratively with clients on improving their mental health. She believes that positive mental health is as essential as physical health and well being. She is committed to providing a warm, non-judgemental space in which clients feel comfortable sharing their feelings, thoughts and difficulties in order to support them on their path towards greater well being and quality of life.
